How Jungle Beat collects, stores, and uses personal information.
Last updated: 20 April 2026
This policy explains what information we collect when you use junglebeat.tv, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It also covers extra protections for children under 13 who use the kid-facing pages of the site.
If you have questions, email us at legal@junglebeat.tv.
Who we are
Jungle Beat Animation Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (number 09232113), with a registered office at 25a Kensington Church Street, London, W8 4LL. Our animation studio is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Jungle Beat Animation Limited is the data controller for information collected through this website.
What we collect, and why
We try to collect as little personal information as possible. Here is everything we might gather:
Newsletter signup
If you join our newsletter, we collect the email address (and, where provided, the first name) that you give us. We use it only to send you Jungle Beat updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
Legal basis: consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Contact and partner enquiry forms
If you send us a message through a contact or partner enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message so that we can reply. Form submissions are processed by our form provider ([TBC: Formspree / Mailchimp — confirm final platform]) and forwarded to us by email.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to enquiries you’ve sent us).
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics across the whole site, including pages for children, to understand which pages people visit. It runs without cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not use your IP address or any identifier that could single you out. We do not use Google Analytics, session replay, or any third-party ad tech. Aggregate traffic counts are the only thing we see.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (understanding aggregate site use).
Children under 13
The Characters, Activities, Watch, and Birthdays pages are built for kids. We take their privacy seriously:
- None of those pages collect personal information. There are no signup forms, no comment fields, no accounts aimed at children.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics runs across the whole site, including the kid-facing pages. It is cookieless, sets no tracking identifiers, and records nothing that can be used to follow an individual child between sessions or between sites.
- Colouring sheets and craft PDFs are downloaded directly from our site. We do not track who downloads them.
- The birthday feature is a static, pre-built widget; it does not collect any information from visitors.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 anywhere on the site. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please email legal@junglebeat.tv and we will delete it.
This approach is intended to comply with both UK data protection law (children’s code / Age Appropriate Design Code) and the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We use a small number of cookies:

Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Embedded YouTube videos may set their own cookies when you press play — see “Third-party services” below.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run this site. Each of them has its own privacy policy, which you should read if you want a complete picture.
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and cookieless analytics. Cloudflare privacy policy
- GitHub — the site’s source code is stored on GitHub; our CMS authenticates via GitHub. GitHub privacy statement
- YouTube (Google) — we embed videos from our YouTube channel. YouTube uses cookies when you play a video. We use
youtube-nocookie.comembeds where possible. Google privacy policy - Form provider — [TBC: Formspree] handles form submissions.
- Newsletter provider — [TBC: Mailchimp / Buttondown / ConvertKit] stores newsletter subscribers.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.
How long we keep your information
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Contact and partner enquiries: up to [TBC: e.g. 2 years] after your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics does not retain identifying data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that’s wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information (also called the “right to erasure”).
- Object to processing, including opting out of marketing at any time.
- Port your information to another service where technically feasible.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@junglebeat.tv. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we have mishandled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
International data transfers
Some of our third-party providers (for example, Cloudflare, GitHub, and our form and newsletter providers) are based in or transfer data to countries outside the UK and EEA, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards, in line with UK GDPR.
Security
We use standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information — HTTPS everywhere, access controls on our systems, and limiting data collection to what we actually need. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top, and, where we have your email address, we’ll let you know.
Contact
For anything to do with your information, or this policy, email legal@junglebeat.tv.
This policy has been drafted to reflect how the site currently works. It has not been legally reviewed. Items marked [TBC] need to be confirmed before launch. We recommend a final pass by a data-protection lawyer, especially around the children’s code and international transfer wording.
